check out albums like illmatic(nas) or lifestylez of the poor and dangerouz(big L) => you'll learn to respect hip hop that way(todays "hip hop" can't be respected though, unless by people with low IQs) Heavy metal aint my thing either, but I respect it and I do like some metal tracks...
