the right to bear arms was clear with the u.s so the united states by your standards is "a seperate country for all gunnuts where they can shoot their brains out with pumpguns, assult rifles and large caliber varietys"

Just like you buy a tank at the local armor shop

Real mature. Start an argument you obviously can't support, then when someone calls you on it insult their intelligence. You are "obviously unwilling to grasp/see" that because you own something that could possibly be used to harm someone, it doesn't make you some sort of inhuman monster. Do you own a kitchen knife? Over 2,000 people were stabbed to death last year in the US according to the FBI uniform crime reports, so I HOPE YOU GET SENT TO AN ISLAND AND STABBED HURR. See how silly it is?

You're obviously unable or unwilling to grasp/see the point or the bigger picture, and I know better ways to waste my time than writing a whole essay in youtube comments. I dream of a separate country for all gunnuts, where they can shoot their brains out with pumpguns, assault rifles and large caliber varietys and leave more civil minded people in peace. Wouldn't that be nice for everyone involved? No, don't aswer that, it's a rhetorical question. Bye.

There is exactly one instance of a .50BMG rifle being used in a crime. It was mounted to the Killdozer and the damage it caused was a small hole through a large propane tank with no detonation. That pales in comparison to what the bulldozer it was mounted on was able to do. Civilians have also had access to these rifles longer than the military- target rifles built for this round in the 70s piqued the Army's interest yet in over 3 decades they have not accounted for a single fatality in the US.

These rifles are too cumbersome, heavy, and expensive with too little damage imparted to be of any practical use to criminals or terrorists. They are excellent penetrators through light hardened armor but only a small fraction of the population could ever hope to have the skill needed to shoot them any farther distance than a smaller rifle. Also, you act like they shoot fucking mortars or something. Do you really care that the hole they make is .50 inches in diameter rather than .308?

This is a retarded strawman argument and you know it. Are you honestly comparing a rifle- a very large rifle, but still a rifle- to a tank or a nuclear bomb? Unless you're shooting hardened targets or something there's nothing this rifle could do that a deer rifle couldn't. Speaking of that, if you think military usage of a caliber should mean an instant civilian ban, what about 9mm and .45? .223? .308? .30-06? .300 Winmag? All of these are very common civilian calibers also used by the military
